About Deanna Rasnic, M.A., LPC-S

Deanna Rasnic has practiced as a Licensed Professional Counselor since 1999.  She graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with dual Master’s degrees in Marriage and Family Counseling and Religious Education.  Prior to her graduate training, Deanna attended the University of Louisiana at Monroe and obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Religion. In addition to her academic training, Deanna is a licensed supervisor for professional counselors and is also a licensed child-placing agent for the state of Texas.

Deanna works with adults, teens, and children in marital, family, individual, and adolescent counseling. Her areas of expertise and interest include relational and marriage counseling, women’s issues, grief and loss, anxiety and depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, bi-polar disorder, divorce recovery, eating disorders, teen counseling, identity issues, physical and emotional abuse, and spiritual growth.  She also has a strong background in crisis pregnancy and adoption counseling.  She currently serves as the licensed administrator for Chosen Child Adoption Services in Allen, Texas and has counseled many couples and birth parents dealing with issues related to all facets of the adoption process. She served as Director of a local adoption agency and has counseled many couples and birth parents dealing with issues related to all facets of the adoption process.  Deanna has also been involved in counseling with missionaries overseas and enjoyed using her training to assist with the various needs that they encountered.  She lived in South Asia briefly while serving in a counseling capacity with missionaries in the area.

Deanna enjoys teaching and training others, and is available to lead seminars and classes focusing on her topics of expertise.
